The King's Speech
The true story of the man who would become King George VI (the current Queen's father) and the unorthodox speech therapist who helped him to the throne. Hindered by a nervous stutter, 'Bertie' Windsor lived his early life outside the public eye, only to be thrown into the spotlight as a result of his brother's abdication. Terrified by his inability to be a public king, Bertie turned to Australian Lionel Logue. The script explores a real turning point in British history, through the story of one man's need to be heard. Shot during January 2010, the film will be released in the UK later this year.
